Born and raised in Spain in the Basque Country, Chef Oskar Urzelai Lazarobaster brings over 30 years of culinary expertise to Txoko Restaurant Jakarta.

.His career has taken him across Spain, Cuba, Egypt, UK, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia – where he currently resides. His global journey has shaped his approach to blending diverse culinary techniques with a deep passion for sustainable cuisine, offering guests an authentic taste of Basque culture.

Having worked in Michelin 3-star restaurants and renowned hotels worldwide, he is now in charge of all culinary aspects at Txoko, crafting a menu that showcases the rich traditions of Spanish and Basque gastronomy.

After his experience in countries with culinary traditions as diverse as Spain, Cuba, Thailand or Cambodia, Chef Oskar Urzelai brings brings his passion for cooking to Jakarta with a curated fusion of flavours and techniques in a menu in constant evolution.
